A Great Sangria Recipe for Your Beverage Dispenser
Summer is fast approaching. It’s almost June and that 80 degree weather is just around the bend. And you want to enjoy a cool refreshing beverage. Sangria is a perfect summertime drink of choice, with its fruity flavor and cold, crisp taste. Sangria is a mix or red wine and other liquors as well as fruit juices. Of course, you can always make a virgin substitute for the younger set. For an easy to make, delicious sangria combine the following:
- 1 (750-ml) bottle red wine
- 1/4 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup orange flavored liquor, like triple sec
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 orange, thinly sliced
- 1/2 lemon, thinly sliced
- 1 unwaxed apple, cored, and cut into thin wedges
Mix all the ingredients together, place in a beverage dispenser and chill completely for one to two hours. You want to really let everything mix together and the pieces of fruit soak up the liquid. Then you are ready to serve!
